Niloofar Mofakhami, DDS—known to her patients as Dr. Niloo—is proud to serve the community in which she grew up. She attended Mosby Woods Elementary School, Luther Jackson Middle School, and Oakton High School. After graduating as valedictorian from OHS, Dr. Niloo attended the University of Virginia, where she studied biology and religious studies. She graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and completed her 2-year postdoctoral training (residency) in pediatrics at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Her goal of becoming a dentist since the age of 10 was finally achieved! Prior to opening her own practice in 2005, Dr. Niloo practiced pediatric dentistry in McLean and Reston. Dr. Niloo is a Diplomate of the American Board Pediatric Dentistry, which means she is a board certified pediatric dentist. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. She is fluent in English, Farsi, and French. Dr. Niloo lives in Oakton with her husband, Matthew, and her sons, Arya and Kasra. Her interests include traveling, watching movies, studying different cultures and languages, community service, and watching her boys play baseball through Vienna Little League (of which she is also a proud sponsor).
Jennifer, Administrative Coordinator
Jennifer is our administrative coordinator. She has always had a passion for dentistry, bringing over 25 years of experience to the team, and is able to assist and advise in almost every facet of the practice. She has been with Children’s Dentistry of Oakton for 9 years. She considers watching, listening, and playing with children as a perk of her job and can think of no better way to spend the day. Jennifer is married with two grown sons and four lovely grandchildren (plus a parrot named Connor). She enjoys spending her free time shooting nature photography, gardening, and watching the national pastime of baseball with her family.
Katrina has been in the dental field for over 20 years. She is trained as a dental assistant and is currently one of our smiling faces who greets you at the front desk. Katrina grew up in Woodbridge, where she currently lives with her husband, two daughters, son, and dog (Mac). You will often find her out and about taxiing her children or at one of their sporting events.
Rocio, RDH, Clinical Coordinator
Rocio is originally from Peru and has lived in Northern Virginia for 13 years. She is a graduate of Oakton High School and the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene program. She speaks both English and Spanish fluently and has been a great asset to Dr. Niloo’s team for 9 years. She currently serves as a hygienist and clinical manager of the office. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and dogs (Diesel, Gus, and Rambo).
Kristy was born and raised in Fairfax. She recently moved to Midland with her husband, two sons, and the chickens they are raising. She has been part of our team since 2009. Kristy is a graduate of Robinson Secondary School and the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene program. She likes the outdoors and spending time with her family and her American bulldog.
Kristina was born in Charleston, SC and raised in Fairfax, VA. She lives with her fiance and two kids. She has been part of our team since 2016. Kristina is a graduate of Robinson Secondary School and attends the Northern Virginia Community College in the Dental Hygiene Program. She likes the outdoors, hiking and bike riding and spending time with her family.
Flor is originally from El Salvador and has lived in Northern Virginia for 17 years. She is a graduate of Fairfax High School and graduated from a private College as a Certified Medical Assistant. Also attended at Northern Virginia Community Collage to become Certified on dental X-rays and took hygiene classes . She speaks both English and Spanish fluently. Flor has join Dr. Niloo office in 2016. She currently serves as a Dental Assistant at the office loves to work with kids enjoys teaching them how to brush. Flor also volunteers at hospitals when needed. In her free time, she enjoys spending out side time with her husband (Marvin )and her two daughters ( Jackeline and Emelly).
Andrew and Elle
Andrew and Elle reside in Lynchburg. Elle is the Social Media Manager for Children’s Dentistry of Oakton. Andrew is studying pre-med with hopes of becoming a pediatrician. They come back on their school breaks to work as assistants in the office. Before moving, they worked as dental assistants in Dr. Niloo’s office for 3 years. They enjoy reading and running their photography business, Elle Meredith Photography, together.
