Niloofar Mofakhami, DDS--known to her patients as Dr. Niloo--is proud to serve the community in which she grew up. She attended Mosby Woods Elementary School , Luther Jackson Middle School , and Oakton High School. After graduating as valedictorian from OHS, Dr. Niloo attended the University of Virginia, where she studied biology and religious studies. She graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and completed her two-year post-doctoral training (residency) in pediatrics at the Children's National Medical Center in Washington , DC. Prior to opening her own practice in 2005, Dr. Niloo practiced pediatric dentistry for two years in McLean and Reston. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Northern Virginia Dental Society. She is fluent in English, Farsi, and French. Her interests include traveling, watching movies, studying different cultures and languages, and community service. She lives in Fairfax with her husband, Matthew, and her son, Arya.
Dr. Niloo cares for her
patients as if they were her own children. Her practice philosophy is to
provide the highest quality dental services with the kindness, patience,
and dedication that are essential when working with children and their
parents. Being a mother herself, Dr. Niloo strongly believes that clear
communication and time spent with the parents are fundamental when
treating young patients. Parents are valuable members of the dental team.
Before the end of every appointment, she always makes sure she has
explained the procedures and has answered any questions that parents may
have. Dr. Niloo and her staff will always strive to make each family's
visit safe, comfortable, and enjoyable.
